Well, what a week. With good weather being interrupted by some heavy showers which caused a few concerns.  Only a couple of events were cancelled due to the weather and 1 cancelled due to a technical problem it all went very well. Thank you to the varous volunteers who either ran an event or who helped run events with us.

We hope you had a good time at one event or all of them, what a processsion! we woudl liek to thank everyone who helped during the week, without you our job woudl be so much harder to do. 

Radio Exe : The radio station for Dawlish Carnival 2012

We can now confirm that Radio Exe will eb on the Lawn all day on Thursday doing broadcasts from the lawn during the day, Come down and meet some of the Radio Exe team.

On May 5th 2012 Michael Butterfield pushed his barrow from Dawlish to Newton Abbot and back to raise funds for us. Maggs Farley walked the complete route with Michael. We had buckets with us for the ability to do some on the spot collecting, which raised £66.66p. The sponsorship that both Michael & Maggs have got for the event should give us over £1000 in the bank.

The Annual Carnival Royalty selection disco took place on Saturday 28th April at the Manor House in Dawlish. We had a good attendance despite the weather forecast, and TV programmes. We are pleased that the judges have selected three girls who will go on and represent Dawlish all over South & East Devon carnival Circuits.

The attendant is Niamh Tucker. The Princess is Maddie Steer and the Queen is Libby Selley.

Congratulations to them and also the reserve Royal family.
