Competition Rules
1.
Be aged 11 – 17yrs by August
2008. ID must be provided at the second auditions.
2.
Commit to being available from 9am
until 10pm on Saturday 30th June for all rehearsals and the
final to be held on Monday 18th August, this includes
being there on the times given.
3.
Have their parent/guardian’s
permission to enter and take part in the competition.
4.
Agree to take part in any
publicity required for the competition, includes, paper/radio
reports and pictures.
5.
Take and follow the guidance
given by the judges and other competition staff with regards to
their performance, including choreography, singing and their
appearance. Entrants should show commitment and professionalism
throughout.
6.
To rehearse and perform any songs
given to them for the events and the final, by the judges or
Musical Director.
7.
Respect other entrants and/or
finalists whilst they are auditioning, rehearsing and performing
and to treat everybody equally and not be disruptive or abuse to
the competition’s crew or judges.
8.
Be prepared for and interviews or
photo shoots as required prior to the final (finalists only).
9.
Ensure the producer is made
aware of any problems that may affect their ability to continue in
the competition or their performances. Any grievances are to be
raised with the producer.
10.
Not to copy, backup,
distribute, lend or hire out any backing music lent to them during
the competition. Any backing music remains the property of Dawlish
Carnival Committee and should be returned to them after the
competition has ended.
The Organisers Will:
1.
Keep confidential any personal
information given to them throughout the competition. Such
information will not be disclosed to anybody not a member of the
Dawlish Carnival Committee or part of the competition’s production
team. All such information stored on paper or on computer will be
destroyed as soon as they leave the competition, except when the
entrant’s permission has been specifically asked otherwise.
2.
To be fair throughout the
competition to all entrants, not to be abusive and ensure
everybody is treated equally no matter their circumstances.
3.
Give constructive advice and
guidance where needed to ensure entrants put across the best
performance possible.
4.
Reserve the right to expel entrants at any time from the
competition when the break any of the competition rules or whose
actions affect the competition in a negative way.
5.
The judge’s decision is final |
